Hi everyone, To all those who submitted to IJCAI, best of luck! Please find this week's planning meeting information below: *Room: *S6.06 *Speaker:* Emre Savas *Topic: "*The complexity of planning with infinite domain action parameters is undecidable. State-of-the-art heuristic approaches are only concerned with action parameters that takes their values from finite domains. There is relatively little work exploring the problem of planning with infinite domain action parameters. We recently explored the problem, using an extension of the TRPG heuristic to guide search in a space of partially developed plans, in which the values of these action parameters (which we call control parameters) are managed by accumulating constraints. In this work, we observe that these parameters cause helpful action distortion when there are producer-consumer behaviours affecting resource transfer with control parameters. It is possible to address the problem in search (for linear relations), relying on the solution of multiple linear programs (LPs), but this is highly costly. In this work, we examine the problem in detail and introduce a generalised RPG heuristic to tackle it. We introduce an alternative reachability analysis method to avoid helpful action distortion and propose an extension of the temporal relaxed planning graph (TRPG) heuristic to preserve its existing sophistication." For reference, please find the schedule for this term below. *Please note, if your name is on the list, I will email you two weeks before your turn to remind you, and to get a topic from you.* If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me an email or visit me at my desk (it's the one with a blue rubber duck just opposite S6.11). *Schedule for This Term* *Date* *Room* *Speaker* January 26th S6.06 Daniele Magazzeni (cancelled) February 2nd Fares Alaboud February 9th S3.39 Andrew Coles February 16th *Cancelled due to IJCAI deadline (good luck!)* *February 23rd* *S6.06* *Emre Savas* March 2nd Amanda Coles March 9th Wiktor Piotrowski March 16th Liana Marinescu March 23rd Tanja Daub March 30th Bram Ridder See you on Thursday! *Regards,* *Fares Alaboud* PhD Student @ Informatics Planning Group faresalaboud.me
