Summary
JC on broad range of topics including but not limited to regulatory genomics, gene expression, DNA methylation, mutational evolution, GWAS, single cell sequencing, and environmental and behavioural genetics.
Follow the JC programme on our webpage http://www.twinsuk.ac.uk/learning-training/journal-club-meetings/regulatory-genomics-meeting-programme/
The JC discusses genetic and epigenetic regulation of gene expression by looking at: Nuclear architecture Chromatin conformation Histone modification DNA methylation DNA variation Transcription Allele-specific expression Post-transcriptional modification Splicing
We are particularly interested in statistical methodology to dissect the influence of these nuclear factors on gene expression. In addition, we look at how expression mediates the impact of these factors on complex traits.
